Betül Yönak-Bein has suffered from neurodermatitis since childhood. Especially in the cold season or on stressful days, the annoying symptoms occur – the fingers turn red and itch like crazy.

“Only cortisone somehow couldn’t be the solution.” – thought Betül and started searching through studies and found something: propolis (also known as bee glue). Bee products are true all-rounders. Already in ancient Egypt and antiquity, people placed great value on the power of bee products such as propolis, royal jelly, bee venom, and honey.

The idea for Bedrop was born. Betül founded the start-up together with her husband Florian in 2020. Since then, they have been selling high-quality bee products such as propolis, royal jelly, or bee venom through their online shop.

In spring 2022, the founder couple was able to convince Judith Williams outside of the show “Die Höhle der Löwen” and thus secured an investment through Start Now Consulting GmbH.

In 2022, Good Brands AG also acquired a 6% stake in the bee product manufacturer.
